QUICK START GUIDE

Change the default “Neelix Task Manager” app title bar to be something custom, e.g. more reflective of your team

2. IMPROVE THE DELIVERY MANAGEMENT GAME OF SPRINTS OR ITERATIONS

  • Create Approach Grid view and enable self-disciplined teams to manage the progression of tasks as part of normal routines, whilst seamlessly communicating the journey and progress to other stakeholders

  • Start strategizing your sprint iterations with effective capacity view and rollover routines.

3. IDENTIFY WHEN AND WHERE THE DRAG IS HAPPENING

Try out Inspection reports that leverage Approach Grid data as well as generic data mining of tickets – get immediate feedback about where drag is occurring and who it is impacting

4. UNLOCK THE VIEW OF DEPENDENCIES

Walk the tree of linked issues and visualise the map of dependencies, as well as the colour coded heat-map of what is done or not

5. IMPROVE DATA CONSISTENCY

  •  Create Data Quality templates and start addressing data consistency

  • Use sweep reports

  • Highlight to users data gaps within the standard issue screen widget

6. REDUCE DRAG FOR COMMON ACTIONS

  • Setup metrics and one-click access shortcuts to Filters, Approach Grid or any url

  • Familiarise users with using Contextual Search – find Jira and Github issue and navigate to any with one click; Much easier and faster way of finding and opening issue filters

  • Create pre-filled quick entry ticket templates

  • Utilise Story & Epic Manager for bulk updating all underlying tickets in bulk (including smart helpers)

  • Utilise Robo Data Manager for bulk updating (including smart helpers)

7. MAKE OVERALL FEEDBACK LOOPS MORE EFFECTIVE & IMPROVE COMMUNICATION FOR GEO DISTRIBUTED TEAMS

  • Familiarise the team with capturing experiences on-the-go

  • Manage Retrospectives in Neelix for both local and geo distributed teams (e.g. ability to vote on items and tracking historical trends be team and theme)

  • Improve insights and reporting – marry team temperature charts produced by retrospectives with inspection reports on the back of Approach Grid
